Luft and Company was founded by Todd Luft in 1990. The firm was founded on the belief that our clients would benefit from a personalized service that made large-business resources available at a reasonable cost. While we have grown in our size and services we offer, our mission continues to stress comprehensive, personalized service at a reasonable cost to the client.
 MISSION STATEMENT
We will support our clients in every aspect of building their long-term financial well-being. To this end, our products and services can be categorized in four primary areas:
- Counsel our clients in ways to make as much profit or income as possible, from both their businesses and their investments
- Develop tax strategies to help our clients retain as much of that income as possible
- Develop a personal financial plan that assists our clients in meeting their long-term goals, which generally includes a plentiful retirement lifestyle, and
- Develop an estate plan that passes their wealth as they desire - not to government taxes!
As both Luft & Company and our clients continue to grow, we will utilize the vast resources that are available from evolving technology in providing creative service for our clients in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible.
OUR CLIENTS
Our business clients are primarily closely held, owner operated businesses. Some of our clients are one-person operations such as a software engineer, business consultant, or real estate agent. Many of the clients are larger, recognizable companies with five to twenty employees. In several cases our clients are multi-site retail or industrial firms operating in several states.
Our individual clients fall into two primary categories:
- Those that are related to the businesses we serve, for which we develop an integrated business, tax, and financial plan
- Progressive, generally high net worth clients that are very interested in their long-term financial strategy
Many of these clients begin using our service with a typical tax return and progress from there based on their individual needs. In increasing numbers, our clients are coming to us primarily to utilize our personal financial services.
TODD LUFT, CPA
Todd Luft founded Luft & Company in 1990 following a successful career employed in large, publicly and privately held companies, including:
- Charter Power - Corporate Controller overseeing the leveraged buyout of the company (formerly a division of Allied Signal) and subsequent Initial Public Offering (IPO).
- Nutri/System - International Controller overseeing retail operations in several countries
- Kulicke & Soffa - Domestic Controller, in charge of the accounting and domestic financial operations of the $140 million U.S. operations
Todd holds a BBA in Accounting and an MBA in Finance, and has been a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania since 1987.
